MDA’s Organic Program offers a range of services, including basic information about organic production, certification and marketing; information about state licensing requirements that may affect producers and marketers; organic farm and farm production data and directories, a list of certifiers that offer services in Minnesota, organic and transitional certification cost share; value added, livestock development, and sustainable agriculture demonstration grants. We organize the annual Minnesota Organic Conference, which attracts 500+ participants and 80+ trade show vendors. The 20 year old “Minnesota Grown” direct marketing program licenses a “Minnesota Grown Organic” logo to certified organic producers.
